This herbaceous plant grows in humid soil across Europe and Asia. It's traditionally been used to calm migraines and as an anti-inflammatory/analgesic. The plant's supple, flexible and resistant leaves inspired Clarins Research. Their impressive size (up to 1 meter in length and 60cm wide), make the plant agile. The leaves also protect the plant, acting like a vegetal hat. Upon closer inspection, their nerve network creates a dense, mesh-like structure like that found in the skin. It is grown in the Alps at the Domaine Clarins following a Good Practices Charter regarding wild harvesting which respects nature and the plant.
