Europe - Hops

Hops is a plant that is common in northern Europe. In ancient times, its young shoots were consumed like asparagus, while later on they replaced other medicinal plants to flavour beer, as well as limit the growth of certain bacteria. In traditional medicine, it is used for its sedative, purifying, and antiseptic benefits.

Hops extract is used for its richness in unsaponifiables, which are traditionally recognised for their ability to protect the skin against ageing.
